GERBER EDITING / DRC
 
We provide you complete front-end engineering services for PCB manufacturing shops / companies. Our technical knowledge of the PCB industry enables us to provide professional and quality services and qualify your design for manufacturing. Our CAM services include Inspection, Complete CAM (1 ups, edits, panelisation, coupon placement, drill programs, rout programs, drill cards). Customers also have the option to request specific tasks like carrying out only 1 ups or edits, as per their specific needs.

LEAD TIME:
We handle all jobs on a one-day turn basis (overnight service for our US based customers, upto 24 hrs for others), so you can rest assured that the design will be in your server the next morning (i.e the Gerber's are supplied to us at 6pm US specific time and the PCB shop gets back the completed CAM files at 8am US specific time the next day).

QUALITY CONTROL:
To ensure quality, we run an exhaustive list of design rule check for every CAM job.

For Example: We have a separate QC engineer for Genesis and E-CAM who checks for errors using a sophisticated QC tool. With our systematized and timetested work flow process, the errors are brought down to a bare minimum.

Listed below are the typical checks we do on every CAM job.

DESIGN RULE CHECK / INSPECTION:

We run an exhaustive list of design rule checks for all boards to avoid error that can possibly cause board scrap. All features are thoroughly checked for violations before the board is panelized. Some of the checks are :

1.Minimum air gap.
2.Minimum trace.
3. Open trace/Dangling traces
4. Power to ground short detection
5. Annular ring verification
6. Expose Trace.
7. Fab-to-Gerber mismatch.

EDITING:

A large number of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) actions has to be performed on various layers, such as signal , solder mask, silk screen layers to ensure productivity. Some edit & DFM operations that we carry out are:

PANELIZATION:

Panels are required in order to save setup time and provide efficient usage of materials. So step & repeat of boards are created on one large panel. Thieving bars and venting patterns are added around the boards with Test coupons inserted in specific locations. Also Mounting holes, optical targets (fiducials) are added of various production machines. Text and logos are added for easy identification of the board.

NC DRILL / ROUTING PROGRAMMING:

NC files that are created for the Drill & Rout machines. The following parts of the NC file are customized to the requirements of each customer:

File header , Tool change , Tool finish, Step & Repeat start , Step & Repeat end , End of file

1. Any version/format.
2. NC drill program - first drill, second drill.
3. NC rout program.
4. Tool path generation.
5. Cover layer, Stiffner & Adhesive program.
6. Drill card creation.
