PCB LAYOUT
CADnCAM board designers are qualified and
experienced engineers and are knowledgeable about DFM, DFT,
fabrication requirements and limitations, and assembly processes.
Our engineers follow all of our designs through the complete
production cycle to provide any necessary assistance to fabricators
and assemblers.
A
CADnCAM board designer will communicate with the circuit design
engineer to review the electrical requirements, mechanical
configuration, testing, and any special instructions. A generalized
layout will be determined, including connector locations, mounting,
and board orientation. Detailed information, including impedance,
line matching, and layer stackup will be discussed. Production
quantities and assembly methods are reviewed to determine
panelization and scoring features.
All
layout designs, including silkscreens and masks are plotted, checked
and approved by different individuals, including a senior engineer.
Each item identified in the design requirements document must be
checked and approved by all reviewing personnel. The unrouted
layout, and all associated documentation, is then forwarded to the
client for final approval and / or revision.
The
final layout is then advanced to the routing process.
